What I'm building now (current project)
Kinesis
Kinesis is a desktop app for keeping and studying the videos you learn from. It saves YouTube videos along with their transcripts, so you can search, summarize, tag and file them, and link them to each other. You can also plan videos into a schedule, like a course or a workout program, and create flashcards to improve studying.
I started Kinesis to solve a gap between visual learning through online videos and organization. The design document goes into how it all works.
Hi there!
I’m William, a computer scientist who graduated with a Master’s degree in December 2024 from Knoxville, TN. I created this site to share my thoughts and insights on technology, programming, and the world around us, hoping to connect with like-minded folks in the community.
I enjoy STEM, especially Computer Science (from DevOps and AI/ML to Cybersecurity and beyond). I love staying up-to-date with tech trends, diving into beta testing, and occasionally reading academic papers. When I’m not coding or exploring new ideas, you’ll find me enjoying brain teasers, reading, or experimenting in the kitchen.
Feel free to explore my blog for posts on various topics, my web apps , or my about page (which includes my contact email). Thanks for stopping by!
